Pink Floyd Day II, Brescia 2013
- Published in News
The weekend just spent together with our friends Wit Matrix, fans all around Italy and the incredible Durga McBroom-Hudson was fantastic!
It was a great pleasure for us to have arranged such exhibition to present ourselves to the world, showing our artworks, resolution, passion and the first 3D Virtual Museum dedicated to Pink Floyd.
Friday 26th April: a hard day completely dedicated to the organization and rewarded at the end with a special dinner together with Durga McBroom-Hudson, who is a famous chorister of the English band.
Saturday 27th April: Floydseum made its debut on the world, unveiling to fans of great Music and Pink Floyd, a new way to live one of the most followed and loved music bands. A long-awaited day, which resulted in the most optimistic expectations; we thank the organizers of this event, but above all fans, who are the true lifeblood of our Association. Just you, dear friends, you were the people who paid off our efforts as soon as you entered in the room, with cameras in hand ready to capture original artworks.
Real focus of the exhibition was the launch of the 3D Museum, which brings together the largest possible number of masterpieces and memorabilia related to Pink Floyd with the aim of becoming a reference point and meeting place for fans around the world. The presentations of the Virtual Museum, which continued throughout the day, were accepted with great enthusiasm by fans, as well as the signing “ceremony” of the wall.
Finally a spectacular concert with friends Wit Matrix that have dragged the public among the biggest hits of Pink Floyd. In addition, we have not to forget Durga McBroom, who sang with a great energy in the last song (“Run like Hell”) and was able to honour Storm Thorgerson in the best way, dedicating him “The Great Gig in the Sky”.
A warm thank you to Roberto and Juanita, who have been able to manage this event to perfection; thanks to Claudio and Wit Matrix, great Italian Tribute Band and a special thanks to all of you, who have followed us in Brescia or simply have met our Association that day. Stay tuned and see you soon!
